Warm snuggly pyjamas so I can lounge around in the evening without having to turn up the heating. Where from please?

I've decided to turn down the heating, as our gas bills are getting high. But I like to get into something comfortable when ds gets ready for bed.

I have a warm dressing gown, but it tends to get in the way while I'm doing my 'last thing at night' tidy round the kitchen etc.

Any ideas anyone (size 16 short BTW)

Primark? Think they are about £6.

KTeepee · 10/11/2006 11:33

How about wearing pyjamas with a thin fleece on top?

clumsymum · 10/11/2006 12:17

MrsDoolittle · 10/11/2006 12:30

This is exactly what I'm looking for too.
I have been looking at some beautiful stuff in M&S recently.

MrsDoolittle · 10/11/2006 12:32

These look lovely

clumsymum · 10/11/2006 13:57

You're right.

Anyone got a promotion code for M&S?

Do they have Nick and Nora flannel pajamas over there? They are really warm and have lots of cute patterns.

JackieNo · 10/11/2006 13:58

I think you need one of these . V stylish!

MrsDoolittle · 10/11/2006 14:01

Oh No And look at the shoes!!!
Horrific!

(I bet it would be really comfy though )

JackieNo · 10/11/2006 14:02

YOu could have it with integral feet, mittens and hood for the full effect

JackieNo · 10/11/2006 14:04

And a lighter version for when it's warmer

MrsDoolittle · 10/11/2006 14:06

I've always thought they must be really comfy when I have dressed dd and ds for bed time. I have wondered why noone did them for adults.

Suddenly, I have gone off the idea.

JackieNo · 10/11/2006 14:08

Can't imagine why.

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 10/11/2006 14:09

God this is sad to admit but Im actually quite tempted, think how cosy it would be.
Would be limited to after dark though and times when absolutely alone/children asleep!
That does look a bit like the kind of fleece material that makes your hair static though-what a lovely combo that would be

Piffle · 10/11/2006 14:15

Monsoon - DAMNED expensive at £45 but oh god they are nice

MrsDoolittle · 10/11/2006 14:16

Worrying isn't it

Think I'll stick with the M&S stuff.
Which are you going for clumsymum?

MrsDoolittle · 10/11/2006 14:16

Piffle - Nice to see you around!

Starrmum · 10/11/2006 14:17

Don't mock - I had a couple of similar outfits that I used when I was pregnant (and afterwards)- they were incredibly comfortable, although probably not as warm because they were cotton.

I wasn't so keen about anyone actually seeing me wearing them, mind you!

And I didn't wear them with shoes

southeastastra · 10/11/2006 14:17

jackieno do you remember the miss selfridge version of that? it was pink

clumsymum · 10/11/2006 14:18

Wow, a fleece Andy Pandy romper suit !!!!

Just imagine, the doorbell goes, and you answer the door to a bloke selling double glazing.

How would he keep his face straight.

And then, you add a face pack on one of your pampering nights.

I quite the like the fleecey lounge stuff, the chocolate colour I think. Would you wear it in bed?
