My mum is going to be 50 in January and I'd really like to get her something really special from me and the kids.
I was thinking of something that could be engraved or personalised but not sure what exactly.
I havent got loads to spend either what with christmas coming up.

Has anyone got any good ideas or can recommned some websites to look at.
Thanks.

A photobook with all your favourite photos of her and her family. You could add messages in the book.

have a look at this

a really nice piece of jewellery or a locket that can be engraved? a spa day out? what does she like?

Well I've done that for a xmas present, with the photo. I thought about keeping it back for her birthday but I'm giving the same photo to other family members. So if she doesnt get it, it will be a bit weird IYSWIM.

Southeastastra, I like the idea of jewellery but could I get something nice without going ott?

YF, just to add to Mala's suggestion - you can also ask friends and family to add either a funny story, or a memory they share with your Mum. If they've got a photo to go with it, so much the better. This is a fair bit of work, but is fairly cost-effective. A friend of mine recieved this recently, and it made her realise how much she means to everyone.

Thats a lovely idea MC.
I do love the photo book idea

It would be getting hold of the pictures too as we only really have photos of the kids. We also live away from them so I couldnt get to her friends.
Hmmm, its got me thinking now....

If you've got the e-mail address of one of her friends, you might be able to snowball it from there. A lot of what my friends kids recieved were e-mails with an attachment, which they then printed off.
