hello, anyone used one of these and can recommend them? It's the Mammas and Pappas one. DS has been waking 3 or 4 times a night... we thought it was teething (which sometimes it has been) but also habit I think and seems to sleep better in with us. Lack of sleep making me crazed. Am considering purchasing this cot and having him beside me... he can roll all over the shop now and will be crawling soon I think. Am I mad to think of moving him from his room back to being in with us... help please. Also not sure if this type of cot safe though M & P say you can use for as long as you think is suitable... Feeling v unsure and wuold be great to hear from others. ta muchly

Hi, can't advice about the cot, I just wanted to say my ds (7 months also) is doing exactly the same thing, it has been going on for about a week now. At first I thought it was because he was rolling and getting himself stuck, then I thought it was teething (calpol seemed to help - only woke twice last night), I now think he may have a cold as well! Let me know if the cot works, I think anything is worth a go, I did read that seperation anxiety starts at 7 months, they recommend you just reassure the baby and say it should settle down, lets hope they are right!! hey KatyJo, what a mare eh! Makes for a very frazzled mum... I will let you know. We ordered the cot which seems on the surface of things perhaps a crazy mistake but we feel that anything is worth a try...
I'm breastfeeding which is the only thing that really seems to help him calm down... a friend said their baby was really waking all the time then turned 9 months and became a dream sleeper. Afterall that's when they start to remember things and that you will come back (i believe) so fingers crossed. A good tip another mum gave me was the giving water in the night tip. Ages ago I tried it and it didn't work but last night DS on the first waking had some and shouted until I fed him but on the second waking DH giving him water from a bottle calmed him and he went off. Made such a difference as you'll know. To be woken once or twice is so much more bearable will let you know about cot. We are thinking we might have another baby at some point and as DS has a cotbed which will last ages another cot won't go to waste if we have another. Good luck

Thanks for the advice about water, I am breastfeeding as well and I keep meaning to try something else but I know feeding him will make him go back to sleep so I guess I get lazy!
I will try the water tonight - Thanks again!
