Hauck pushchairs. Are they any good?

I've been through so many pushchairs and the end is in sight. My 22 month old will only need a pushchair for another year, max, so I don't want to fork out but will this one do the trick?

MIL bought one from charity shop to use with my nephew when she was looking after him. We used it for DD once or twice and it was fine - very sturdy.

I've had a Hauck Shopper for 15 months now and am really pleased with it. It is sturdy and has a very large basket underneath. I would recommend Hauck.

OK thanks.

I have a Hauck Infinity and I dont know about this model, but mine is really good and solid and nice to push! They represent good value for money!

I've bought it for £20 from Ebay and it has only been used a couple of times. I can't wait to get hold of it.

Another one who likes Hauck - bought one for my sister and she loves it (and I'm jealous - was threatening to plan a second pregnancy just so I could have it)! Hers is the icoo - when it was new other people would stop in the street to admire it. Really light to push and easy to unfold, although not as simple to fold.

FWIW I met the UK importers a while ago and they are very nice. Not that that's particularly relevant but though I'd mention it anyway.

Ahh, thank you spidermama. Just about to post a similar question. Am looking at the Hauck Roadster, which appears to be the same thing as the Jeep Roadster, just without the word Jeep on the side. Has anyone got any opinions on either of these models?

Word of warning, when things go wrong with their buggies, hauck customer care is pretty appauling. I think the general range is ok but to anyone buying anything from their range with disney on it-steer well clear.
My older sister bought a lovely 4 wheeled pram from them with a small pooh design on it and the wheel fell off on her second journery out with it, it then took her about 5 months to get a refund. That was about 3/4 yrs ago now, but recently my dps cousin had a baby and bought the hauk 3 wheeled pooh design and she was CROSSING A ROAD!!! when the wheel rolled off down the street!!! and to this day she has never had her money back, they just gave up trying and bought a mothercare pushchair off a friend.

Oh how I wish I had read your post busyalexmummy before I bought the thing/ I've used it wice and guess what happened? The wheel rolled off and I was left stranded with a big wild baby ranging around near busy roads and a broken pushchair.

I would not recommend this particular pushchair to anyone who has a baby who weighs over, say, ten pounds.

Hauck make the Jeep range and I' Coo. tbh I've always thought of them as the equivalent of Graco in terms of style and quality.

perchancetosleep · 01/11/2006 18:25

Oh dear, was thinking about the Hauck infinity ... anyone had any use of that before? The wheels coming off thing scares me not surprisingly. Would I be better trying the Quinny Buzz? ... Would never have thought a cuouple of years back would be having pushchair conundrums!

mumj06 · 15/11/2006 13:48

The same thing happened to me with the Hauck Infinity, one of the wheels ran off. My understanding is that you can, at regular intervals, check if the the bolts attached to the wheels are properly screwed before going out, to avoid the problem. But I agree that this is appalling, and I wonder if the manufacturer conducted proper safety tests before releasing the pram/pushchair on the market. This said, I was very happy with it -sturdy, excellent stability, bigger than average carrycot, design-. Its biggest fault is that it is very heavy. Foir this reason, I switched to a light pushchair as soon as my dd reached the right age.

I've got a Hauck Winnie the Pooh pushchair, have used it once and it's awful. It's lovely to look at,but awful to steer.Saying that,it's not the same as the one you're thinking of getting.
