effing playmobil - too many damn bits?

today we tidied up the playmobil house

it was a bit of a danger area - kids under the rug, wheelchairs upturned in the garden, dogs under the car, toilet in the kitchen etc etc

and every single time we do this I edit out another 100 tiny items from the Playmobil world - tiny flowers the size of a newborn's fingernail, tiny knives that I can't see without glasses (and I don't even wear glasses), tiny backpacks, remote control cars (?) and wine bottles in a crate

does anyone's kids actually play with this flotsam or is it just to keep the vacuum happy?

I would say it's a little bit young but you could always buy it and hide the teeny tiny pieces for a while.Ds3(just 3) has the police car policeman/woman but I have taken their 'equipment' away for now.

sugarfree · 27/10/2006 20:30

Does anyone know if there is a Playmobil 'robber' available?

popsycal · 27/10/2006 20:31

ther is playmobil 1 23 for toddlers
ds1 got playmobil vikings for his 3rd birthday on the premise that he would grow into it
he is just turned 4 now and has loved it for the past 6-9 months

Does anyone elses child throw a complete wobbly if they LOSE a piece? We had 30 minutes of hystrionics at PILs last week when DS2 (4) thought Grandma had thrown away a squirrel... (found in playmobil cave later by Mummy)

poppyh · 27/10/2006 21:28

Cappucino
We bought one of the playmobil houses for DD. Absolutely DETEST it! Everytime she played with it bits of it fell off, such a rip off.
Have now packed it away hoping she will forget about it!

NastyNemo666 · 27/10/2006 21:28

kikidee Ds was 3 at the beginning of the month and he has the construction super set which he loves. Has also beenbought the pirates treasure chest and the helicopter rescue set both of which I have been told are quite good for his age.

Cappuccino · 27/10/2006 21:52

poppyh that's a shame

dd has had hers for 2 years now and it has always been her favourite toy

has received many a battering unscathed; three house moves and various 'accidents' and deliberate destructions by visiting 'boyfriends'

would recommend to anyone

dd loves her house too. We've lost a few flowers and a pair of slippers thgouh . Have even bought extra level and staircases and after intial probelms is much more stable and played with constantly.

ds' pirates don't have many coins though - most still in the box on their plastic grid, lol!

sugarfree · 27/10/2006 22:10

How annoying would this be?

Sheraz · 27/10/2006 22:12

sugarfree · 27/10/2006 22:23
