Backpack baby-carrier for small parent?

Wonder if anyone can recommend a backpack style carrier for me? I'm only five-foot tall, so the mothercare one I borrowed from a friend just doesn't fit me, though it's fine for dh and ds loves it! Are any of them adjustable? dh is six foot tall, so one that would do us both would be ideal, but as mothercare one is so cheap it might be feasible to have two . . .
Thanks for any advice.

We have a Little Life carrier, which fits me fine, and I'm 5'2". Dh is 5'6", though, so don't know if it would fit a 6- footer, but it should, it's not an unusual size for a bloke! HTH

I'm hoping to be able to avoid needing a double buggy. ds1 will be 18mths when dc2 arrives. I've got a front-carrier which I'll uses for the first six months or so with the wee one, but after that I would want a backpack I think. I use the bus a lot, and a double buggy just isn't practical - what do you do with the little one who can't stand on his own feet while you collapse the buggy and get on the bus? At the moment I use a travel system with a car seat on it, so i can take the car seat off, put it down and then collapse the wheels and get on the bus, but it'll never work with two . . .

I know this isnt exactly what you're looking for squigglesmum byt we use a Buggy Board...it looks like a small skateboard and clips on to back of pram or buggy...older child stand on it. I have found it invaluable. It also clips up out of the way when toddler wants to walk. costs around £40

I'm 5'3 and my husband is 6', and we have used the Bushbaby, and found it really good. Not cheap, but very sturdy and very good weight distribution. I had a problem with some of the others that the shoulder straps were too wide for me, which is not a problem with the Bushbaby. Our gap is 19 mths, (between my daughters, not between my dp and myself!) and it is tricky. My oldest is fairly small and I felt she would be too little for the buggy board when the baby was born. Thought that I would use the sling for the newborn and the pushchair for the older girl, which I did do for the first month or so. Although I used the sling a lot for the first one, I found it too hard on my back to be carrying the baby on my front and then lifting the toddler in and out of the pushchair. Mainly we used a pram with a toddler seat, which was great, and didn't fold it down when we used a bus - just left the kids in it. Not practical for everyone though! In retrospect about the buggy board, my 18mth old does happily use it now (with the older girl in the pushchair) but I can't quite go 'at speed' IYKWIM.

What kind of pram has a toddler seat to go with it, or can your buy the toddler seat seperately? That sounds like an ideal solution, although I still have to fold it down on the bus - can't get our wheels through the door on the rural routes, but in town the buses are brilliant.

squigglesmum, we have a Kelty Kids backpack which has an adjustable back so will suit people of various different heights. Having said that, I never got on with it (I'm about 5 foot tall too) but that may be to do with the shape of my back. dh is 5'9 and gets on well with it. However, ds is almost too heavy for dh to carry him in it now (he is nearly 2 and a half and fairly average weight), and I certainly couldn't manage it.
