Loola Teknic footmuff - am I doing something wrong?!

Anyone have the Teknic footmuff & using it with a Loola?

Have just unpacked mine today and put it on by basically taking the pushchair hood off, putting the top of the footmuff around the top of the pushchair, and putting the hood back on over it. Then put raincover on as normal. (Hope this makes sense!). Then put the straps through etc.

Went out in light rain and ds was fine in it. However on the way back it was pouring it down and when I took him out the back of his head and shoulders were quite wet . The bottom of the footmuff was also wet through, though because he's still small, his feet didn't get wet as his legs don't reach that far down.

I am surprised and not v pleased - kind of expected these things to be waterproof - am I wrong? Are they only for cold, not wet weather? If no-one else has had a problem then I know it's just me!

Can't comment on Loola as that is not a pram/pushchair I ever had (and I have had quite a few ) but from my experience the footmuff/cosytoes is not supposed to be showerproof.
Did you have the raincover on? If no - there is your problem , but if yes, then I assume it was not fitted properly...

yep - had raincover on - think I followed the instructions correctly although the pic they show is not of a Loola (despite the fact it's meant to fit on one). Useful to know that footmuffs aren't meant to be waterproof though - thanks

i have a loola and the teknic footmuff. i don't think this footmuff has been designed to actually fit the loola as it doesn't really fit at the top. i didn't tuck the end flap over the top of the seat as when i used it in the rain, i was getting wet so just put the straps through for speed. the top bit was just sat inside the hood so, no, mine didn't get wet. if you make sure the footmuff is well tucked into the seat area too, then it should be short enough in length to be covered by the raincover. footmuffs are just to keep out the cold, raincover for wet, although at just shy of £50, you would expect it to at least be shower proof

I see what you mean, thanks lucykate. That should work, don't know why I didn't think of it!
