Lightweight stroller

I know that mumsnet has a review section on this, but thought I'd ask anyway. I'm going away for a month to Singapore, and need a buggy that can withstand going to the airport, wheeling around a humid climate. Budget is fairly tight, so I've narrowed it down to the Maclaren Triumph and Chicco CT0.6 - DS has just gone 6 months. Which stroller would you recommend?

I bought the Chicco one from BabiesRUs a couple of weeks ago. Ds is 14 months. Doe sthe job for us. Folds small, lightweight, manouverable, relatively cheap to buy!
It has 2 seat positions, adjusted using zips at teh side of the seat, the positions are: Upright and Slightly Less Upright. So if your ds tends to sleep in the pushchair it isn't neccessarily the best...

Jessa,
Thanks, I test drove the chicco one at BRU last week. Liked it, especially at that price! Have you used it with the raincover yet, and also climbed stairs and hung your baby bag around the handles?

Haven't used the raincover yet, but have had the hood thing up.

It came with us on wooodland walk at the weekend and survived, including short trip onto estuary beach.
We have a couple of steps up to our front door, manages those ok. Haven't had to bump it up/down any serious sets of steps, but I think it woudl be ok...
DS's baby bag is pretty minimal (small rucksack)but it took that plus my shoulder bag and a jacket slung over one side, and my friends little handbag thing...

I like our Maclaran Triumph - got it from Kiddicare for about £45 including raincover as I think it was a discontinued colour.

Yes, kiddicare are doing a Maclaren Triumph Primo at the moment, not the same thing, or is it? Mothercare is doing the a black/red Triumph for £65. I liked the Triumph too, only the whole thing just flipped over with my bag slung over the handles, once I took DS out of it.....disadvantage of the 'lightweight' alu frame I suppose.

I've got the triumph, had it for about a year as dd is now 17mths and got it when she was about 6mths. other than making sure you take shopping off the back before taking dd out haven't had any problems. Use the raincover alot and its fine, although dd gets a bit fed up with it! the only thing is the brake doesn't always go on properly, need double checking if you park on a slope, I tend to put it sideways(I park my car on a hill). Would recommend it.

We borrowed a Maclaren Triumph for a trip to Greece, and it was great. But if I was buying one, I'd go for the Mothercare Jive because it is the cheapest - £35 - and very light and easy to fold.

Finally settled on the Triumph. Hope I made the right decision!
