Does anyone know a good place to get name tapes, labels and all that jazz?

mummysurfer · 22/04/2004 12:10

check this link!

I think it is against MN ethics. Other people have been stomped on for "free" advertising before.

lou33 · 22/04/2004 12:58

Crystaltips, why don't you email the bosses and check?

yamamoto · 22/04/2004 13:23

It costs me between £1 and £6 per day to advertise on google (key word) depending on number of hits, have found to be easly the most cost effective advertising I do..

muddaofsuburbia · 22/04/2004 13:28

There's already a nametape company advertising on the MN homepage although their link doesn't seem to be working properly.

It's Stuck on you - v cute

I have just ordered a starter set as today was my ds's first visit to pre-school and i didn't think of name tapes until about 5 mins before hand so this was extremely well-timed for me!!

yamamoto could you give me some more details about google keyword advertising? Sorry to hijack the thread, have just set up a new business online and have received a free £50 voucher towards this, and not really sure how it works.
thanks!

please check www.dutycrew.com

My partner's new business - Justine carrie etc. maybe a 10%?

I'm tiddly - i'll get back to you tomorrow?

yamamoto · 01/05/2004 10:02

Misty
go to www.google.com
type in your chosen key word, say OFFICE EQUIPMENT or whatever, and search. To the right of the search result is a list of Sponsered Links. At the bottom of this list it says See your message here, hit this and you can find out how much it will cost you for your link. You can adjust the amount you want to spend daily and keep a close eye on numbers of clicks (which is how they charge you) You set your own budget and adjust as you go.
Obviously if your in a main stream business like office gear you will have a lot of competition, and the price may be too high, but its v good for specific business's say like name tags, or indeed playhouses and cat stands which is what we make!

misty · 01/05/2004 20:44

thanks yamamoto - very useful, I'll take a good look at that - you say this has been successful for you?

Justine et al, what about a new discussion area for people to post details about their/friends/family's websites etc, so that only people who genuinely want to know about them look in there, and we are not ramming publicity down people's throats on other threads? Not sure about commission etc, but I'm sure you might find you suddenly get loads of freebies sent to you
