I need a new set of saucepans. Money is no object. which are good. I like the Jamie oliver set - but want a nonstick inside (stainless steel sets my teeth on edge!)

like these ones at the moment www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8610454.htm

Emily - I recently asked a similar qu about anodized aluminium ones (I currently have the Meyer Circulon ones which are fantastic but not dishwasher safe, and sadly after 8 years of dishwashing they've given up!). If you are happy to handwash your pans (I'm a bit lazy!) then they are fab - in general anodized ones have superb non-stick!

I'll bump my thread up for you.

If I had the money I would buy a complete set of Stellar stainless steel pans.....(can't believe am dreaming about saucepans...!?!?)...

I have a set of mid-price stainless steel ones from Argos that we had as a wedding pressie 4 yrs ago that go in the dishwasher (like twohoots I don't wash-up if it can be avoided!!) and they aren't bad.

Happy shopping!

if money is no object get the SKK pans (Delia recommends them). I have a frying pan and it is fantastic. skk pans - but look around for specials. I have a Circulon saute pan and it pales in comparison. Other than that a good stainless steel pan will last forever - we have Brabantia pans which are over 10 years old and still going strong.

i got my stellar pans at the good food live show about 8 years ago and they are great... i've boiled a few of them dry... and they survived intact... very sturdy, solid and reliable...

The ones in the link seem to have plastic handles - there is a virtue in having all metal ones as you can just pop them in the oven to keep warm if you ever need to (and if they're well designed they won't be any worse at burning your hands than wooden/plastic).

I love cuisinox pans, my dad bought me my frying pan which means it's at least 19 years old as he died in 1988. Stainless steel, not non-stick tho. Can't get on with that as I always scratch it off witha metal implement.
