Lost Dogger - can you help?

I have lost my little boy's Dogger - a very soft brown marks and spencers dog with maroon collar. He is heartbroken! If anyone has one languishing on a toy shelf covered in dust, please would you let me buy him from you? They were sold by M&S about two years ago, but head office says there are none left in stock.

Stan here - yes I'll own up - I had him......

No actually - we have found a substitue dogger. The one lurking in the bottom of my kids toy box is the same, if a little smaller I think,so it will shortly be winging it's way to Nicholalady's ds (well, when the post office opens in the morning, anyway!

whils t knowing I am going to sound like a wet fish..
they never like substitutes!!

when will you guys learn!

Tetley · 22/04/2004 21:15

It's worth a try - it was only here gathering dust!

dogwalker · 22/04/2004 21:16

So happy for your ds hope the dogger is the right one - I'm always worried that my boys will lose their favourite cuddlies. (they're 10 and 8 though and still deeply attached to them)

By the way wasn't Kevin Spacey "dogging" in the park the other day when he got "mugged"?

Flip · 22/04/2004 21:17

That's no true Coddy. We have several Bert's and two spares in the wardrobe in case one disapears. But I guess my ds1 is very fical. He asked for a fish and I told him he'd be upset when it died. He said he wouldn't he'd go and buy another. Then he added, besides you're going to die and then I'll get a new mum.

Tinker · 22/04/2004 21:17

Was he? Wasn't he just walking his dog?

dogwalker · 22/04/2004 21:18

mmmm . . . ?

dogwalker · 22/04/2004 21:18

At 4.30 in the morning?

Flip · 22/04/2004 21:19

Were you his stranger Mrs Dogwalker?

dogwalker · 22/04/2004 21:20

By the way, with a nickname like mine . . . I'm not a footballer in disguise you know!

dogwalker · 22/04/2004 21:20

ROFL !

Tinker · 22/04/2004 21:20

Well some people do don't they? Oh god, is all night time dog walking subject to scrutiny now?

dogwalker · 22/04/2004 21:22

No you're right Tinker you should be able to walk your dog whenever you want. And by the way I really like Kevin Spacey anyway !

Flip · 22/04/2004 21:22

What have you got to hide Tinker?

Tinker · 22/04/2004 21:24

Actually I don't even have a dog. Honest! Just inwardly groaning in that 'Is nothing safe any more?' kind of way

Tetley · 23/04/2004 16:56

Nicholalady - Dogger's gone in the post today first class, so hopefully you'll get it tomorrow. I hope it goes well..........

Hi everyone, Tetley's Dogger arrived on Saturday morning and was introduced as baby Dogger. Fortunately, the big sized Dogger also arrived on Saturday morning, from ebay!!!! By some stroke of devil's own luck, there he was waiting to be bid for when I looked last week. Both Doggers are now settled back in bed with ds1 who is extremely happy. I have explained that Dogger has been on his adventures, during which he somehow had a baby, but now he has returned to us and doesn't want to go on adventures any more... We hope. If anyone else should find another Dogger I think I had better make sure there is a spare in the attic somewhere. I will keep looking on ebay as well. What a bloody marvellous invention that is!
Thanks to you all for contributing suggestions and digressions... Best wishes!
