yes - bought mine 14 months ago when had DD. still use the car seat now as suitable for up to 29 pounds and she is quite dinky.

it's dead easy to fold and not too heavy....did you get the bits to go with it - the raincover , foot muff etc.... i thought mine was very good value for money . i was using a stroller for the last 3 months or so, but back to using this now as cosier for the winter.
i'm sure you'll love it , hope all goes well in your pregnancy..

well, i managed perfectly well without.....

used the car seat a lot at first, it was lovely and cosy for her with the headhugger and meant no waking her up , she used to sleep in it very comfortably.

also, you can recline the pram right down so baby is lying flat and used it like that at home for her to sleep in downstairs as didn;t want to waste money on a moses basket as she was going straight in a cot.

she still sleeps in it like that now to be honest, so unless you have a burning desire for the carrycot or a particular need for it, i'd save your pennies for something else !

the mothercare buggies lie completely flat, so are great for new borns. have you got the apron for it? they are very snug in them. just pop a blanket or 2 over them and they stay snug as a bug in a rug . no need for the carry cot IMO.

i should know, i am a buggy addict. (i have the maxim, more basic, but still lovely)

thanks misdee, seem to have overwhelming desire to buy things at the moment!!

is it the one where you can flip the hood over and flip the foot rest up?

rubyroo · 11/10/2006 19:29

i think so

the carrycot is reduced atm. when you collect, see if the hood goes the other way as well. if so, then the carrycot may be a good idea so you can see the baby clearly. (i love watching babies in prams, they pull great faces). it is also great if you have to park the buggy up anywhere, as you can just life the carrycot out. i used to do with the P+T cocoon at the GP surgery.
