I'd really like to buy one of these exercise machines, recently gave up my gym membership and need to do some sort of exercise! I used the one at the gym loads, and enjoyed it which is a bonus, so I've been looking on the net to see what they cost.
Anyway looks like you can pick up one for under £250 which is my budget, but I've no idea what I should be looking for when buying one i.e. certain makes, are certain functions necessary, quality etc. Ideally I'd like one with some pre-programmed workouts, and a heart rate monitor. Any ideas anyone?

Hi Misty

You might not see this message now (I only found this thread by browsing down the topics) but I thought you might be interested in www.bsfitness.co.uk/discount_elliptical_trainers.html. They're a fitness equipment importer and also refurbish used and discontinued equipment in their own factory. I know someone who works there and can honestly say they're a reliable company. I even ended up buying a refurbished treadmill (in need of getting my lazy butt to do some exercise!) and the service I got was excellent! I'm really pleased with the treadmill too.

Hope this is of some help,

Jenny

I bought my "Elliptical X Trainer" from here

X trainer

Search for Elliptical ... ?? That's what they call them ...

Mine's great and arrived very quickly.

Note : Put it together in the room you are using it in .... mine had to be moved - damn heavy!!

DOwn side was that I had to buy a portable TV as I got so bored !!
