This is the cot

and this was the mattress I was thinking of getting

I know the matress have to conform to whatever rules and regs but they just seems abit flimsy.

Has anyone got one?
Has the mattress kept its shape, without getting a body imprint?

My dad bought this as a cot for when we visited. It only lasts up until they can stand up in it iirc.

We have the older version (no bars on the ends, solid 'headboard') and the cheapest (?) foam mattress . The cot was bought for my ds who outgrew it at a year. dd is now using it with the same mattress and it just beginning to show a dent. It has been used for almost two and half years now.

pruhoooooni, I did wonder if it would last much longer than a standing baby IYKWIM.

It's alot smaller than otehr cots, isn't it??

Really don't wnat to spend ££££££ on one though.

We used it from birth to a year, worked well for that age, but also wondered how long it would last with a standing baby.
we only got it as we knew at a year Ds could move into his sister's bigger cot.
cheaper than chips though and did the trick

not got that cot but have the mattress (if it is the sprung one)
I find the mattrice perfectly good, seems really good quality for such a small price.

I'm not in Surrey anymore Essbee, but thanks for the offer.

(brain unable to think of a way around it too)

Actually when I said both the cot and mattress were fine I meant for an average size baby dd was in it until she was about 20 months old but ds who is 10 months, very tall and likes to move 360 degrees at night was only happy in it until about 3 weeks ago when he kept banging his head and he is now in a cot somebody gave us which is longer and wider.

Gillian76 · 09/10/2006 21:19

We used the cot for DS from about 18 months. We had to give our big cot away as it wasn't ours to start with. He was in it til past 2 with no problems.

HelloMama · 09/10/2006 21:21

my mum and dad bought this cot for when we came to stay with DS (now aged 2-ish) it has been pretty good, but as the others said, DS is tall and he outgrew it very quickly because you cannot lower the base so he could practically climb out of it. for a new baby though it would last about the same, if not a bit longer, than a crib I think.

ledodgywizardrobespierre · 10/10/2006 10:53

You can lower the base it has 2 settings a very high one and a very low one.
