tamagotchi !!! but you will end up looking after it ...... trust me ..we had two... i added them to my list of responsibilities once the novelty wore off..got quite attached to them and couldn't let them die!

Do you mean a MicroPet type thing (animal shaped eg dog, cat, panda) that moves to commands or more of a Tamagotchi type thing? ( unit that has a screen with pet, person or whatever on?)

imnot27 · 03/10/2006 12:05

We had a tamagotchi, but I killed it! Twice!! My DD now has a princess max, £10 from toysrus, it has pet which is much less demanding than tamo, can leave all day without it keeling over, also has games, horoscopes, organiser etc which your dd might like in a year ot two!

Watch out for some of the ones on ebay -I was looking at them last night for DD and noticed on some of them that on the photo of the Tamagotchi the packaging was in Spanish, yet theres no mention in the listing about it being the Spanish version ?!

DD (6) has got the Princess Max too - pretty forgiving, and you can turn the sound off, except for when it first starts up. About £10 available from Woolworths, too.

battybird · 03/10/2006 13:30

Just hunted down anipalz for dd's bday, no idea if they are any good but she was desperate for one! She got a tamagotchi at easter and that was a great success.

battybird · 03/10/2006 13:35

Also you can put tamagotchis on pause when the owner is not around to look after them!
