Grauniad readers, abandon your principles here.

Thanks, Fauve - I'll switch my alleigance like a switchy thing for free Roald Dahl audio books.

Is that how you spell alleigance? Looks wrong. Alliegance. That looks wronger.

marthamoo · 22/09/2006 13:17

Allegiance. I knew it looked wrong.

Fauve · 22/09/2006 13:18

Don't worry, if you're a Guardian reader, it's expected If you read the Telegraph all this week you'll be a Tory who can spell.

Yes, I blame my newspaper

Spidermama · 22/09/2006 13:20

Thankd Fauve. I'll be getting myself a Telegraph at the weekend.

lucycat · 22/09/2006 13:21

ah but you are a Roald Dahl addict aren't you marthamoo?

ShowOfHands · 22/09/2006 13:26

Ooh I love Roald Dahl (he wrote to me once and I framed it and put it on my bedroom wall!).

I think I shall have to send dh out for the Telegraph, unless I can wear a disguise to the newsagents. I'm thinking a big fake beard and a flasher mac...

lucy5 · 22/09/2006 13:28

This is really cheeky but would anyone like to buy the paper for me and send them out to Spain. I would cover any costs involved. Thank you we need a cheeky emotion.

marthamoo · 22/09/2006 16:24

I'll get them for you, Lucy. You've got my email address, haven't you?

marthamoo · 22/09/2006 16:24

(How True Blue will I look - buying two copies of the Telegraph?)

alligator · 22/09/2006 16:30

Oh, good idea! Make your parents buy them!

Personally, I've been much more ashamed going into Starbucks with my Daily Mail , bought specially from WHS for the David Attenborough DVDs. I wouldn't write for it, though, or cooperate with it in any other way...

the paper is to expensive for me, my boss is saving them for me, like she did last week with the posters. on fear that i might be tempted to shop lift and a member of her staff could end up in jail!

what is free in the weekly one's?

Fauve · 22/09/2006 17:28

I don't know, the info I've got just says 'plus five more to collect next week'. More of the same, presumably?

OP posts:
Fauve · 22/09/2006 18:05

Don't know if MaloryTowers has seen this yet, she was asking for alerts...

Oooh, I tried to post a link earlier this week to Roald Dahl CD audio books in the Book People - 10 titles, 27 CDs, £18.99. It wouldn't work then but it is now - here!

Not as good as a freebie but good value

Fauve · 24/09/2006 20:56

From Monday you have to collect tokens and send off, or go to WHSmith and get them direct.

Mon - Revolting Rhymes
Tues - Twits
WEd - Fantastic mr Fox
Thurs - Matilda
Fri - The BFG

Dd is upstairs listening to George's Marvellous Medicine
