Search for stay on socks

Yes I know this isn't of huge importance in life but even so, I would like to know if anyone has found socks which stay on a six month old baby. The only ones I have found are from Baby Gap but as I'm not into labels and they have huge and very visible writing on the bottom of each sock saying BABY GAP etc, I'd really like to find some others. So, any ideas anyone? Thanks.

They were the only ones which worked for us despite trying loads - still get them now too even though dd is 2.5 because they wash well and hold their shape.
Another alternative would be to buy some 'Baby Roots' or 'Bobux' boots, they're a bit like leather slippers and are unshiftable. They'd hide the logos or would work with other socks - but they can go a bit yucky after they've been chewed for a while.
Or you could just give up trying to keep socks on, feet stay pretty warm indoors and outside they're usually buried in a cosy-toes at this time of year

i cant find it right now but i think there are some in the jojomamanbebe catalogue - could be worth a look!

Purp:
Definitely recommend the boots! As Twink, we stick now with Baby Gap after trying all kinds - definitely superior to others - and I have actually found the labels on the bottom to be good for traction (dd is 11 mos. today, and sliding all over the wood floors!).
I received her leather booties as a christmas gift, and we love them! Only shoes/foot covering she does not pull off. Mine are a different brand purchased from Canada, but they appear to be identical to the ones on the referenced websit. When I dropped dd off at nursery first time she wore them, the caregivers were so excited - had only seen them on one other child, and loved them...I am buying them for all of my friends (with babies, that is!)...

I've just ordered some Jojo shoes so am glad that you all think they're good
Purp · 28/03/2002 13:43
Well, thanks for the responses, particularly Susanmt for looking up the reference! I've got a JJMB catalogue and will try the website too to see about these mysterious boot/shoe affairs. Thanks again.
Oh, I just wanted to say that socks are still quite important for dd because she is usually in the sling rather than the cosytoes in the pram and the other day when a sock fell off when we were out I had to hold her foot all the way home to stop it from freezing!

Might we worth trying thin tights under trousers. Can't fall off and no gaps either.

I was given a present of socks on Friday and they stayed on all day yesterday. Dunno where they came from but the make is PEX. No labels!
SueDonim · 31/03/2002 13:08
Pex is a generally available brand of socks. You should be able to find them in specialist baby shops and department stores etc.
