Ds has got a thing about socks and gets very upset if we try to make him wear grey or brown ones. Now that sock season is almost upon us he needs some new ones and I am faced with the usual sad array of grey / blue / brown socks for boys. Vertbaudet are usually my allies in this but have let me down this year - only one bright colour per pack of 3.

Any ideas where to get a nice pack of bright socks? The girls section is usually all pink and lilac or I would buy those. His favourite colour is orange so if you found a pack that included orange you would make a small person very happy indeed. Oh he is shoe size approx 10 or 11 in UK child sizes.

I now have an image of a mini Elton John wearing these . Sorry...

OMG he must never see those

I have already had to buy him dressing up clothes which he really must not leave the house in

and has asked if Father Christmas will bring him some "high shoes like Mummy's"

PMSL. Go with the flow - he'll grow out of it soon enough, I guess. You'll be complaining that all he ever wears is black, and that he wants to paint his bedroom walls black in 12 years.

Yes or trying to convince him to occasionally step out of his beigey comfort zone like dp

Jako-o have nice stripy socks but they are not that cheap - have a look online. Good source for brightly coloured unisex clothing generally!
