I've given up putting socks on DS2 unless we're going out as he always pulls then off and eats them... he has a new trick now - pulling the socks off other babies and eating them too. Roll on summer!

The best thing to keep socks on are leather shoes, by Bobux, Inch Blue etc. I'm not good at doing links, but if you search on either of these then loads of examples will come up.

These are shoes highly recommended by chiropodists, and Inch blue do the larger sizes up to about a junior 12 I think.

I just put tight on under trousers, even with my boys. No chance of falling off then

Hi. My DS has shoo-shoo shoes. Are these the same as the Bobux mentioned? Thanks

kiwisbird · 11/04/2004 20:42

I bought some gap socks thanx to someones reccomendation and they stayed on all day. Cheesy feet though from getting hot, bless him

DS has a couple of pairs of the Mothercare socks with the white writing/pattern on the bottom and a few pairs of normal looking Next socks. They all stay on well. HTH

I didn't think you should put shoes on babies feet but after much 'sock removing', I have changed my mind. I have little lace up sneakers/plimsolls from Matalan/H&M. As long as they are lace ups as the velcro type shoes go wandering within minutes. So I tie the buggers up and 'hey ho' we can go out without sock removal. Good point mears re: tights. Have been thinking about this and I am going to get some. I have tried socks from Gap/M&S/Primark/Asda and none have worked for me either.
