...or at least a brand-new-plastic-crap boycott? Let's hit the manufacturers in the season it will hurt them the most and send an environmental message as well as a don't-peddle-shite-to-our-children message. Anybody?

I'd like to start with plastic bottles like shampoos and shower gels etc. I think they should all be made of recyclable plastic and the only way you can buy another one is to return an empty one.
Haven't thought through the consequences of being on holiday/ buying your first one... but you get my drift.

books are not eco friendly really are they

thoughts?

MrsBadger · 17/09/2006 19:55

surely books are very eco-friendly compared to plastic - they're made from renewable resources, are recyclable and biodegradable...

i'd take the plastic bottles to be refilled, if i could, same with washing liquids etc. why aren't books ok? books are eco-friendly

Some shops do refills of washing up liquid/laundry liquid/shampoo, etc. May I just mention (again) Who Cares in Melksham who do all of the above and more. If you are passing then do visit them. They have lovely fresh bread on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and a play area for children...hang on, I'm hijacking my own thread!
