Advice please for best toddler 'sippy' cups

I'm a mum of teenagers, but I also have a mum with dementia in a care home who is gradually becoming like a toddler again in her habits.

She can now no longer bring a cup or a glass to her mouth without shaking and often dropping it, so she needs one of those brilliant toddler sippy cups that has two handles, prevents spills but which allows the liquid to flow easily. Who better to ask than mums of toddlers? !

When mine were little I used the Anyway Up Cup, but that needed the user to have quite a strong sucking action, which my mum doesn't have any more.

What do YOU use that you can recommend (links would be lovely too) that allows your child to drink easily but which doesn't allow too much spillage (the odd drop escaping will not matter). It will be used for tea as well as squash.

Thank you so much Smile

Tommee tippee do one that has a flip up spout this one that would probably fit the bill.

FreeButtonBee · 20/07/2014 19:55

Yes. Tommee tippee one is the best. Natural flow (no sucking action needed) but v unlikely to spill anything and can pop down the spout to prevent spills when not using

Have you come across doidy cups? Don't know if suitable but possibly an alternative

The tommee tippee kids on the go beakers are good, free flow, flip top and bigger than the little cups like the one posted up thread. There's an insulated version too.

Only issue is they have kids graphics on them. You could probably peel that off though

We use ones like this for my granny who has Parkinson's and struggles due to tremors. The feeding cup one you can also get with handles!

Thank you again... I think I have persuaded her care home to purchase some of those adult sippy cups as they have a number of residents who struggle to hold proper glasses and cups. Brilliant. Thanks again all of you
