Depends how much they wet. I have a Ikea matress topper that can go in the machine, can put a pamper car mat under it to stop leaing through to mattress proper. No use if they wet a lot.

DS is a bit sweaty but Care mats don't seem too bad if under sheet.

get thee to a john lewis and buy their towelling waterproof cotbed one (or do you need a full sized one?). it is fabulous...waterproof but totally not crinkly or sweaty.

Thanks, ladies - need a full-size-ish one - it's an Ikea extendable bed with the mattress in three parts. It's not so much that he wees in the bed (he's still in a nappy) - he's had a couple of nosebleeds lately and also tipped his drink into the bed this evening [resigned stifled aargh]

Bloody hell there is such a selection! I can't remember which one I got from JL but although it's sort of vinyl looking, it isn't crinky sounding or sweaty because you just put the usual cotton fitted mattress sheet over the top - and that seems to do the trick..

So in summary (because I don't think the above makes sense) - don't think it matters what you get, since as long as you put your usual fitted sheet over the top it doesn't seem to cause a problem.

i don't remember it saying 'quilted' on the packet....it is towelling...but quilted sounds good as will be equally absorbant of sweat and crinkley sounds!!!!

kylies. bloody brilliant. Everyone I know with a serious wettiing problem eventually finds kylies.
