Boys school trousers (for 5 yo) that are easy to pull up and down...

DS is struggling with his trousers (from M&S) as they don't have a fly. I've looked everyone for ones with a fly that fit a 5 year old but keep being told that they only make them in older boys sizes and it's easier for younger ones not to have a fly.

FGS, I am stressing that DS will have to hobble back to the class from the loo with his trousers down and ask the teacher for help. It's ridiculous but he's my baby boy and I know he'll manage but I'm stressing and I need to know where I can buy some with a fly.

Please.

he find is easier to do the zip and find his penis in his underpants? V impressive! We have 2 pairs of M&S shorts - one lot (I think) has the adjustable waist and the other doesn't. The one without is much easier to pull up and down (and also doesn't fit him as well because it is a bit big on the waist).

My ds is 5 and he finds the pull down ones from Mothercare or Adams are ok.

I think the ones he has with a fly are from a proper school shop but it's not a chain so that doesn't help I'm afraid. Thinking about it they're not actually a proper fly - just a metal fastener on the waist band so that the band itself can be a bit looser than the part elastic pull down trousers - iyswim.

ds2 had a problem with his and I got the next size up and took the legs up ( the night before school started)

He's only there for a couple of hours tomorrow so I might well go and buy bigger ones on Saturday iota. He might surprise me and make more effort to do it when he is at school but I've made him practise a few times and he can't be bothered I don't think! Boys...

Tescos have adjustable waistbands and they have a clip at the top as well to undo/do them up.

thanks - I will head for Tescos if they have any left!

After all that he managed fine - said the teacher didn't need to help him and even tucked his shirt in himself. I need to give the boy more credit I think !!!
