PC games for 5 yo - any recommendations?

Just compiling a birthday present list for my rellies for DD's 5th birthday. She loves playing on the computer at the CBeebies website so thought I might put a few PC games on the list.

Any recommendations? She can read and has good mouse control. Loves logical puzzles etc. She has a Leapster and is capable of playing games for an older age group so I don't want to get her anything too easy - she enjoys a challenge.

Arthur's games are good - we have reading games and thinking games. We have Monopoly Junior, Lego Island, lots of Barbie ones (Horse Adventures is the best of those I think).

They have offers on in GAME quite often - 3 for 2 etc.

Zoombinis can't be beaten for logic games and will last years (ds still plays his and he's 11). Same with Thinkin' Things if you can get them. Amazon used to do cheap bundles of Zoombinis, if not you can get them on eBay quite easily.

The reviews for the Zoombinis couldn't be more glowing! Is there a particular game you'd recommend? I will try one for now and can always get another at a later date.

I would start with the first one- the name has changed over time, but something like Maths Journey? It's the easiest I would say, and the last one is the hardest. Hang on, I'll work out which is which...

OK, just looked at Amazon- Maths Journey and Logical Journey are the same I think, so I would get that and then Mountain Rescue and then Island Odyssey (which gets really tough!). At the hardest levels they are tough for adults, but the gradations of toughness are really well done, and you get very absorbed in saving the Zoombinis! Dd loved them too even though she's not that smitten with computers. I would be awfully tempted to get the triple pack to be honest, but then they cost me about £20 a shot as they had just come out when I got them for ds. Hope she likes them

Clifford the Big Red Dog games are good for learning too
