I've been searching the net and can't find these anywhere. I'd like to display a small bouquet, bridesmaid shoes and tiara. Where can I find them, as cheap as possible please??

Ikea does them, I'm sure - not sure if they would be big enough though

CountTo10 · 29/08/2006 22:52

My friend was bought one at her baby shower and I can't for the life of me remember where it was from but I will contact the people who bought it for her and try and find out for you

jenthehen · 29/08/2006 22:53

I've had a look in the ikea catalogue but couldn't see any. I'll check the website. Thanks for bumping.

sounds weird!

ScummyMummy · 29/08/2006 22:56

snappy snaps have them

jenthehen · 29/08/2006 23:08

Thanks scummymummy, I'll take a look.
Why do you think it's weird southeastastra? My dd had a fantastic day as a bridesmaid and it seems such a shame to hide these pretty items away in a cupboard, she's only 2 and it will be nice to decorate her room with. I can't see it being any more weird than people framing children's footprints etc

try art & craft shops. I think its a lovely idea. My bridesmaid was two, and I still get a kick seeing her posy in her room (when I stay over) 7 years later.

southeastastra · 29/08/2006 23:16

it reminds me of stuffed animals. if you kept them on display they would get sun bleached too, keeping them in a box to bring out now and again seems more special.

jenthehen · 29/08/2006 23:17

Thanks madrose, maybe it's a local thing, you're from derby aren't you if I recall correctly? I'm from Ashbourne so maybe we're all weird round here!!

OP posts:
madrose · 29/08/2006 23:19

well I live in Derby, but yeah could say I'm weird .

Mind you posy is displayed in somerset - mind you thay can be strange to

southeastastra · 29/08/2006 23:24

just remember if you're going to display shoes etc they will disintegrate sooner than if you kept them away from light

southeastastra · 29/08/2006 23:28

(didn't mean you were weird or anything!)

jenthehen · 30/08/2006 07:59

here - you'll probably need the larger size - is £4 cheap enough? You could paint it or line it with pretty paper if you wanted to.

MrsBadger · 30/08/2006 13:29

... and some more expensive ones that look more like traditional picture frames here ,

also a remarkably good value traditional-looking gold onehere - scroll down for Craft Box Frames -> Craft Box Frame Single. It's only 32mm deep though, which might not be enough for the shoes.

jenthehen · 30/08/2006 21:56

Thanks MrsBadger you're a star!!!
