Anyone heard of/got a CDA cooker?

Am thinking of getting this one as can get for £785, much cheaper than the equivalent Smeg one (but looks just the same)

I have never heard of the brand (not that I am much of a cooker afficionado).

Never heard of one, although this looks like our cooker which it a beaumatic. A word of warning, you may want to check the small cooker - our big one has a fan, but the small one doesn't & seems to take flippin ages to cook anything, so we never use it unless we're catering for loads & need the space.

Good point crumpet, thank you.

I've just bought the CDA9300 , which is the gas version, with a single wide oven. (I also bought a separate Neff built-in oven and neff combi micorwave - we like cooking !).

I've not actually used the oven yet (but as you're looking at dual fuel, it wouldn't compare anyway) but the hob is good and the whole unit looks good.

appliance-city have the model you are looking at for £878.

Thanks Jan - I can get it for £760 here!!!

CD, I know them. They are good quality sylish appliances. They don't have much of a brand awareness and doing a quick straw poll in our office they are better than Baumatic any day. Sorry Crumpet I have a Baumatic dishwasher and I hate it, someone else has a Baumatic cooker (which I nearly bought) and it is always breaking down so I wouldn't recommend them.

Therefore CD I would go for it is you like it

Thanks crunchie! I could always pay another £300 and get the Smeg?

But would then have to look at the word smeg every day

That's alright Crunchie - we got a good deal on an american fridge/freezer at the ideal home show and had a couple of gins to celebrate - and then promptly bought the cooker in excitement! We love it but I'd had visions of economical meals for two in the small oven - that'll teach me to buy something because it looked nice! (CD sensibly doing a lot more research than we did!)Interesting to hear views about beaumatic though -I'll look more closely next time...

My brother bought the Baumatic cooker and he isn't that happy with it either. He's normally really fussy too (perfectionist furniture designer). He's not been to see our new kitchen yet though, to pass judgement on our new appliances.
