We have luddite tendencies on this subject. DS1 wasn't allowed anything until he was 8, and even then he had to save up and buy his own GBA.

Now ds2 is asking for something. He would like a GBA too, and has saved up enough birthday & pocket money.

So - is this a good idea to have two GBA? And why? Or should we branch out and get something different?

If they want to play a game together, as well as a connecting lead thing, do they also need two copies of the game?

I think you do need to have 2 copies of the same game to play together, but with Pokemon I think that 2 different ones can share charcters. I think - teenage dd would be best placed to answer but she's at a sleepover! Have you tried the FAQs on the nintendo.co.uk site?

I think you do have to have two copies of the game to play together, plus the multiplay connector and lead. My sons have got a Nintendo DS each. They like the chat facility and send messages to each other. Lots of games available, plus they can play all their older Gamboy games on it too - although I think the Gameboy games only come up on one of the two screens on the DS. HTH.

Humphrey Cushion - thanks. I didn't know you could play Gameboy games on a Nintendo DS. That's really helpful.
