What kind of equipment have you used for weaning?
I incline toward Braun multiquick 400watt hand blender from mothercare, i like that it has a chopper attachment. Is it any good?
It looks quite massive to me, am i wrong? never paid attention to these items before.

I just got the cheapest Braun handblender w/no attachments. I whizz up DD2's food in a bowl. She eats what we're having.

I've got a Braun one but it's quite old so I don't know what model it is.
For next baby I've been thinking about getting an old fashioned hand one so I can just bung whatever I'm having in and give the baby that!

Just checked Argos website, the cheapest they have cost £14 but it is 300watt, single speed and shaft isnt detachable?
Please talk me off or elsefrom buying the mothercare one- 400watt, 2speed, detachable shaft, chopper attachment for £24. Am i a bit unreasonable?
Well there are models in the middle-for 19 and 17- available
What do you think?

what do I think?
I think wait till 6mo and do BLW ie no purées needed!

but we have the £29 Braun one with a whisk and a choppy tub thing which we got ages ago and still use for whipping cream, egg whites, blending soup etc etc. TBH I can't see anything wrong with the £5 Argos ones.

We've got and older Braun version 300w, variable speed one with a chopper and whisk. If you just plan to use for pureeing then a basic one which you can clean under the tap is fine. If you want to use it longer term different heads and speeds are useful , as is being able to detach the head and put in d/washer.

We did BLW. DD1 wanted to eat and had NO teeth till she was 9 months and chocked on anything not pureed till she was about a year.
