The Fragrant Boys need a race track, loop the loops, chicanes that type of thing they can slot together and fix one end to a shelf and propel their dinky cars down.

I am trawling ebay but to no avail, whaddyareckon?

we had a basic set of that a while ago suzy, TBh it didn't work as well as it did on the advert.
It said to attach the track to a table or back of chair but it needed to be higher to get the speed up to go around the lop.

The car that came with it was too heavy too and kept falling off. Any other lighter car worked though.

This was a few yrs ago now though so it caould all work much better now....

no, but we do have a vast collection of hotwheels track from various play-sets - much of it battery powered.
You can always make up your own track though using bits from the sets, as it all interconnects

I like the lift idea on the one you linked me to, iota, I will put in a bid on it
Ah yes, LTH, the magical leaps and bounds plastic track technology has exprienced in the last 4 years could well astonish us all

Just a word of warning. We have had lots of hotwheels sets in this house, and they have all been utterly disapointing.

They are often too difficult for ds to put together himself, or (sometimes and) the cars don't do what they are supposed to, come off the track every time, or what they do isn't half as exciting as the advert/box suggests.

We have given it all away, to make room for something more satisfying.

DS wanted the V track one, which is being advertised on tv here atm, but as the amazon UK review says the cars stick at the top, I've decided we'll not be buying it.

I know this sounds negative, but I think your money is better spent on "My First Scalextric", which even tinies can manage by themselves.

Hotwheels are nearly always disappointing, they work in theory but not in practice, we have a Terrordactyl loop set and although it's good it's not worth the £30 I paid for it and it is lying semi-abandoned in my boys room. Scalextrix (?) is the way to go. My son got an Audi racing one for his 5th BD last week from the g.parents and it is impressive and the S'trix can be added to and you can get different cars. Hotwheels are my hell, we have so many but at 50p - £1 a throw they are perfect for a treat instead of sweets. That's where they have you!! I have a garage for the Hotwheels, that seems to satisfy.

It isn't just us then.
