Why?

charliecat · 21/08/2006 18:49

Because we seem to break the plastic ones almost immediately, i dont like the insulated ones...the seams always end up with dead banana stuck in them and the dds have just outgrew ones like these thats have lasted a good 2 years!

we got dd a tin one and took it on a day trip recently - the handle broke and it looked scratched and battered yet it was safely used just the one day -we've got a georgous bag one from gap now.

charliecat · 21/08/2006 18:55

Thats us with plastic ones!

Paperchase do some really cute ones which are unbranded. Dd has one with cute kittens all over it, but they do cartoon monkeys and the like too.

Odeon cinemas do an Over The Hedge one free with a kids film feast £2.99. Its really good quality.

If you want a spare one (plastic, not tin). Flora are doing an Omega3 spread with a free (quite nice actually) lunchbag, it has space for a name label or photo. DD dead impressed with hers and at £1.49 for the spread with the bag free I'll buy a couple and throw them out if necessary to get the bag.

daisydog · 24/08/2006 15:42

Someone just bought my little boy one for his birthday - it was from Monsoon- big bug on the side and seems fairly robust - not sure how mcuh it cost though.

JackieNo · 24/08/2006 15:48

Wonder Woman ones ?

GameGirly · 25/08/2006 10:39

Charliecat, the insulated bag ones come up really well in the washing machine, if you want to get rid of that disgusting gunk from the zip!

daisy1999 · 25/08/2006 10:42

I always go for the insulated ones, how can you keep the food cool enough otherwise?

Furball · 25/08/2006 10:48

I always get an insulated one that is a flat type rather than upright. Once a week I unzip the lid and put it opened in the dishwasher! Comes out fine.

charliecat · 25/08/2006 11:02

I have flat ice packs to keep the food cool. Still going to go for asda before the hols are over
