Baby born with eyelids?!

yes, I'm talking about the doll. Baby Born. Zapf now makes her with moving eyelids & "real" lashes. Does anyone else feel this is beyond the pale or am I now completely insane?

What do you mean, moving eyelids? Is this the doll that has the thing on the back of its head that looks like a brain surgery scar? Get us a pic, quick

ledodgyrobespierre · 15/08/2006 22:41

LOL I didn't look at the section this was in and was thinking aren't all babies born with eyelids!

sansouci · 15/08/2006 22:43

She was in the FT the other day, having a screwdriver applied to her nether regions. I don't know how to do a link! Maybe now is a good time to learn? Huh? hint?!

I will, I will. Once it stops raining & I get a decent night's sleep.

I really do like those baby borns! is it totally weird to get attached to your children's toys?

Look at the doll in the 2nd pic down. Can any sane person tell me wtf 'dynamical' facial expressions are? Here

LieselVonTrapp · 15/08/2006 23:05

PMSL ROFLMAO

Olihan · 15/08/2006 23:05

Nope, sorry here

edam · 15/08/2006 23:30

Link's not showing anything for me, but my Tiny Tears back in the 70s had moving eyelids... it's not a huge innovation, surely?

tigertum · 16/08/2006 00:17

Beyond the pale started for me when they made dolls that wet themselves. I've actually seen teeny, tiny nappys you can buy for them in toy shops. Totally potty (no pun intended).

sansouci · 16/08/2006 00:37

Yeah but at least those nappies are reusable since they only contain H2O.

I've bonded with the born & should i seek counselling. I've got 2 kids under the age of six... why do I now seem to need to bond with a doll? (but she's soooo cute; look at her)

Dolls are spooky and unnerving - have you sought counselling over this?
