Can anyone reccomend a good BOOSTER SEAT for a kitchen chair

I am so sick of our high chair with all the little places food gets. I though Booster seat might be cleaner.

There is one I like on John Lewis but it is £60!!

We have one similar to this . It still has places where food gets trapped though, but I prefer it to our big highchair and it can be used with the tray or at the table (without the tray).

What about the Ikea step stool (couldn't find it on Ikea site). It has holes either side so you can run a strap throughit and it has rubber on the bottom that will stop it slipping, not idealif they are to small but works fine for mine once they were olde enough to climb up and down OK.

Or Ikea do a high seat for £21.99

It depends onthe type of chair you have.

mothercare This is the one I had, and it fitted a wide range of chairs and was very very easy clean. Just Freecycled it to someone here in Boulder, CO.

This one from Argos might be easier to clean.

I have one from Kiddicare - a fisher price one - works well for me and dd - aged 22 months.

It's robust, yet portable and simple in design so you can keep it clean.

See:

all i can say is...

handysitt handysitt handysitt

bea · 16/08/2006 09:42

ooops already mentioned... but cheaper at kiddicare than blooming marvellous

drosophila · 16/08/2006 09:48

Thanks guys I didn't know there were so many onthe market.

I will ponder. I like the handysitt but is is a wee bit expensive. The mothercare one looks good real simple. DD is a real messy eater. When she doesn't want something she just throws it on the floor and looks at me with her Queen of Sheeba look. ASHe also insists on feeding herself.

drosphila... must say even though the handysitt is quite expensive... it does a great trade on ebay... it is so easy to clean and always looks good as new... so worth pondering!!!

can you tell i love them! dd is still using hers and she's just turned 5!
