Another Ambi hammock question

I'm thinking about getting one of these for my 2nd baby but how big are they and are they easy to move around the house? I want to use it lieu of a moses basket in the early weeks and I would be carting it upstairs at night and downstairs in the day but the pics I have seen look a bit cumbersome.

TIA

Hi Prof - just noticed this as I came top products to start a different thread. We loved our Ambi hammock for many reasons (baby slept brilliantly, great for going away, very handy for having beside your bed, baby can't flip over onto front, etc) and would recommend it - however I have to agree it's not all that easy to cart around. It's light enough, but the frame is quite big and it's not easy to get through doorways unless they are nice and big. We had problems getting it to and fro because our flat is small and cluttered so we were always bashing into something.

If you are only moving it twice a day, you might get used to it. But it was too much hassle for me really and I ended up just using it at night, and DS napped in the pram in the hall, which worked well. This does have the advantage that your baby associates the hammock with night-time and gets into a good routine at bedtime - or that seemed to work for us.
