Am now mad keen to make my purchase!

Can anyone recommend the best place to buy? Preferably on-line. Doesn't really have to be the cheapest really, good service is most important, and after sales

Thanks everyone

and is the 'blue' a 'royal' blue or a navy?

Highly recommend Practical Pushchairs \link{http://practicalpushchairs.co.uk) ... delivered within promised timescales, very helpful lady (and honest!) and only charged me something like #5 extra to deliver via Parcelpost to N.I. as opposed to another supplier who said she'd have to find out cost but as an exampe a car seat had cost #30 to send!!

Millie1 · 14/03/2004 20:18

Oh .. hard to describe the blue ... more of a dull navy than a royal blue though.

Bought ours from Kiwidad Rodney's dad Allan in NZ (Winkalotts) who was very helpful, took a few days to arrive. Have bought accessories from Kiwidad Rodney, brilliant helpful service, paid by PayPal, quick delivery on the stuff he had in stock.

Blue is not unlike the WHSmith ad on the RH side of the Mumsnet homepage, like Millie says, a dull navy.

If after sales/warranties etc are very important to you, then you might want to order from the UK, as it's going to cost YOU to mail the buggy back to the US/NZ before Phil & Teds will fix it, whereas if you get it to your UK supplier and it has to go back to P&T's, they'll have to pick up the tab.

Bit of advice though, don't buy it if you're shy and get a laminated card printed up with supplier details and price etc to show to the dozen people who will stop you every day marvelling at it and asking you about it.

thank you all, much appreciated!

Another vote for Practical Pushchairs here. Very very helpful and quick too.

Not sure about the being shy bit though. Since owning mine nobody talks to me at nursery any more .

Blue is dull navy as Millie1 says but still looks eye catching and seems to clean up a treat.

Bear, didn't know there was a Kiwi Grandad as well . Are they taking over the world and are you on commission?

BearintheBigBlueHous · 15/03/2004 10:12

Nope Bagpuss, just sharing the love.

Another vote for Rodney in the US. Although like Bear says, if anything goes wrong (and we thought for one scary moment the wheels weren't right), you have to pay to ship it back. At the moment the exchange rate is so good, the price difference matters (well it did to us!).

Bagpuss - have similar suspicions about Bear. I reckon he's kiwibrother!

On the service topic, the lady from Practical Pushchairs told me that P&T's are planning to have a UK-based service centre.
