Pram Seats - any advice appreciated!

If anyone has any experience with these I would be grateful to hear your opinion.
I have a Mamas and Papas Ultima Xcel Pram and am considering getting a pram seat to use on top for my toddler (hoping it will be an easy and cheap travel solution!).
She will be 2yrs 3months when new baby arrives in March so too young to walk, and buggy boards/seats 2 go, etc dont look very safe.

Thanks

Hi,

I brought a pram seat for my mothercare 3 in 1 when I had dd and ds was 21 months. I only used it a couple of times before I sold it though as it didn't feel safe at all. Ds used to slip forward all the time as his weight tilted the pram and the seat was slippy. (it was a babydan seat)
I then brought a Emmaljunga pram from ebay and got their toddler seat, this was much better as it fitted properly and had a bumper bar around him and a harness. It seemed to distribute his weight better also as it was made to go on the pram. I still had to be careful going uphill though.

My eldest was only 15months when my second was born. I also bought an Emmaljunga pram on ebay and found it brilliant if only in the short term. The only problem with the pram I had was that the wheels did not swivel.

Buggy boards are well worth a go. I used one from when my eldest was about 2.5yrs Once your kids get used to them they are great. You do have to lean forward over your standing child though which is not good if you have a bad back.

Thanks for the advice.
I really dont want to spend out on any new double buggy or Pram. So I think I will opt for some kind of attachment thingy. DD just seems a bit too tiny for a buggy board - although I suppose she could grow alot by the time baby arrives.
