Are grobags really good?

My ds won't keep his covers on for very long at all, so thinking of buying one but not got a clue about them.

What tog do i need for now? Or would i be better geting a winter one and waiting til its cold to start using it?

What do they wear for bed with a grobag on?

Ds is 6 month old but quite big (21lb) so wot size do i get?

Can they move about in them?

Do you use any extra blankets with them or are they enough on their own?

What about their arms cos they uncovered

Sorry for going on but like i said i aint got a clue.

TIA

completely depends on your child if they are good. DS hated them and DD loves them. For a 6mth old they are a size 6-18mths so he will be fine. Dont need extra blankets but in the winter when really really cold I put a cardigan on dd jus tto cover her arms. Tog for the min is 1.0 or 2.5. 2.5 is anytime of year apart from high summer so if its really warm I use 1.0 or none.

I think they are fab. Ds is 3.4 still in one - they are cosy and practical. I would wait to get a heavier tog one as if she is not used to it in the heat she may not like it. You would adjust their clothing depending on the weather - you get a handy little chart with a thermometer if you buy a branded Grobag. They can wear anything from a poppered vest, up to a vest, full long sleeve pjs and a cardy in dead of winter (our house is not the warmest). If you buy a Grobag type one they send you a little booklet full of advice with it. In fact they probably have an FAQ on their website, will look...
