Hello,

I'm not sure if this will help anyone but I have 2 dcs (dd 22 months, ds 8 months) and I have bought 3 double prams to date!! First was a childwheels double pram aka a huge great massive tank monster, not good! It was lovely in that when ds was born had his own carrycot, much like to link you posted shhhh, and was safe and secure, draw back was that it weighed about 12 stone, would not fit through many door ways (so I was stuck outside most shops and you had to have an engineering degree to take the thing apart to fold it down and even then it wouldn't fit in many boots comfortably (even a grand jeep cherokee!). Although whne walking around town people did stop and say what a beautiful pram it was which was nice Also DD had the sitty uppy part to sit in which only had 2 positions and I found she skidded down the seat and was very uncomfortable with the strap between her legs I wasn'tt too impressed with it but kept it as it cost me £600 and thought I should perservere with it, then it broke I took it back to the shop and the nice lady swapped it with my 2nd pram Mclaren twin techno. this was ok in that it fits through the doors was easy to fold and quite light, however, babies were not comfy in it at all and the seats although individually reclining were a pain in the bottom to recline! I almost felt as though I was giving them whip lash each time I was trying to lay them down! So I had my beady eye out for another and that is when I found the pram I love its an emmaljunga twin. The babies have the option of facing me or away (I like them facing me not sure how they feel about that tho!!) they are also high up and dont seem like I am dragging them along the floor as in the mclaren one. This is slightly more narrow than the childwheels one and does fit through nearly all shop doorways (although not my front door so I take it around the back through the back gate and its stays in my garage!) The seats are able to recline individually and with relative ease. There is also a bar that goes across the seats so they can hold on and I have something to attach toys to!! THe basket underneath is huge! Has some fab suspension (not that I have a clue about that stuuf!) handle is adjustable and I love it! Oh and has a hood thing that covers both seats! Hmm I'll find a link to explain it better than I have here its the twin city cross that I have. Not sure if I have waffled a load of rubbish but hope it helps in some way

Thanks JTots - I'll look them up. We're in Fife but are over that way to see DHs relatives so might just pop in one day.

Hey Suzi2

I'm in Edinburgh but work in Kinross so must pass by you somewhwere along the line!! Its very near strathclyde country park from what i remember in an industrial estate, I actually thought I had the wrong directions at first but it is in one of the units so dont do what I did and go into blind panic when I turned the corner and didnt seee a row of shops!! I'm going on Friday to see if it fits in the car, i'll let you know how it goes!

suzi2 · 27/09/2006 09:27

You'll pass about 2 miles from my house on the motorway! Would be good to know what you think. I have a feeling that industrial area is where we bought our last car so I think I know it. It's not too bad to get to so might take a trip at the weekend.

Hi Suzy2

Just been through to see the pram again and still love it!! I have a peugeot 306 and it fits in my boot!! I cant have the parcel shelf on and it stands upright against the seats with enough space for 1 carrycot or the 2 buggy seats aswell, however the other carrycot fits on the floor in the back so hurray I can and have just ordered it!! It is dearer in the shop and I oredered it online at babyenterprise as they were the cheapest I found, let me know how you get on

I have similar problem to others, number 3 is due in April when number 2 is only 20 months. Had decided on First Wheels City Twin but keen to know other users opinion. Also the Bebe Confort sounds good, does anyone know of UK stockists and if you can actually try before you buy? Any other suggestions gratefully received!
