I want to try one of these and cannot find a local stockist in or around the Stockport area. Does anyone know where I can try one? Also, could my toddler go at the bottom and my baby (age 1) at the top?

misdee · 23/07/2006 08:43

he'd be better in the front as the basket isnt too great for foot rest.

aaronsmummy · 23/07/2006 08:48

ok i will try them although my mothercare doesnt stock them - maybe i shall have to try further afield

Also Ladybugs in Poynton have them too .

anchovies · 23/07/2006 08:57

If you decide you like it I'm selling mine for £200 inc double seat and 2 raincovers and am in stockport (I didn't have an ulterior motive for helping you honestly!)

aaronsmummy · 23/07/2006 09:00

OP posts:

I'll have a try of one to check the children are ok in it and get back to you, that's a great price - how old is it etc?

OP posts:
anchovies · 23/07/2006 09:06

It's about a year old, it's got a few scratches but otherwise it's fine. Email address is ccarr @ dennis environmental.co.uk (obv no spaces) so can send you pics later if you decide an e3 would do the job.

aaronsmummy · 23/07/2006 09:10

oh and what are the seat widths anchovies?

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 23/07/2006 09:14

The seat widths are very good. ds1 is 2.7 and fits with plenty of room. The only thing I would say is that the seatbelt clips are very easy to undo; he did it immediately, so if its a control thing it might be a problem! ds1 got out and went running round the bank while I was at the counter, when he was in a monkey mood.

anchovies · 23/07/2006 09:14

No idea I'm afraid and it's at my parents so can't check for you right now, can let you know on monday though.

aaronsmummy · 23/07/2006 09:16

That's great - brilliant - thanks for all your help.

OP posts:
anchovies · 23/07/2006 09:17

Oh sorry was actually going to measure them! But yes my big 2.8 year old still fits in easily.

mustrunmore · 23/07/2006 09:18

Just measured mine for you
Toddler seat is 14" at widest point (inside to inside ie the actual seating area), the main seat which can drop down for lying baby is a foot across, again inside to inside. I would def buy anchovies... its a great price!

aaronsmummy · 23/07/2006 09:45

Sounds ideal for me - I will have to try one asap.

OP posts:
misdee · 23/07/2006 09:55

i used one for dd2+3 and dd2 was(still is) a very large 2.5year old (now almost 4), and she fitted ok in it, tho her legs were a tad too long.

mustrunmore · 23/07/2006 09:58

Misdee, how many buggies have you actually had?! We're on number 11 now, but that one is purely for resale purposes!

aaronsmummy · 23/07/2006 10:05

That's the only thing I worry about with my lo - he has long legs and I dont want them knocking into the front wheel when it swivels.

OP posts:
misdee · 23/07/2006 10:05

more than 11

dd1, i had a pram, then stroller (whichbroke after 18months) then a 3wheeler.

dd2 i used the 3wheeler and had 2 different lightweight strollers, one was a citisport and laid flat, but she got too big for that so moved to a maclaren triuphm. then i won a 3wheller so sold my old one, hated the new one so sold that.

dd3, well lets just say, i am in the buy and sell business. very rarely do i lose money on a buggy when reslling, the last 2months i have 'made' £70 in profit.

i currently have a stroller (maclaren ryder) and an old kiwi explorer. i use the back seat of the explorer and the basket to carry Peters medical equipment about. only thing is, dd3 weighs slightly less than the equipment, so i need to egt a couple of velcro wrist weights to balence it out.

mustrunmore · 23/07/2006 10:10

Oh yeah, didn't you win a Hauck?
I was in profit until the triumph totally fell apart
