Anyone have one a hooded top -
have a look at this

Are they useful for swimming or the beach(for a 3 yr old) or would a towel do? I'm such a sucker fo buying faddy things, so would like some opinions.

I would say very useful for beach - my DSs have them.
You can buy them much cheaper though - last year The Range had them for £5

Mala · 19/07/2006 12:43

Tommy - what is The Range? are they online - thanks?

they're not online unfortunately - couldn't even find a web page.
I think quite a few shops have those towelling ponhcos though - it's worth looking around - John Lewis IIRC but also chepay market type ones as well.
Good luck

I have always bought Mitty James ones. Not cheap but they are so useful and wash really well - plus they come in lots of great colours.

thanks jojo. I think the one I was looking at is Mitty James too. It is expensive though and I can't find anything cheaper. I'm not that keen on those towcho things. I think I might buy it.

very useful - I bought ones from John Lewis last year and they still fitted this year - dds barely wear anything else all holiday. Boden do towelling dresses and shorts. and GLTC do dresses too here

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 20/07/2006 21:41

GLTC do tops too

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 20/07/2006 21:42

and these

Another vote for Mitty James, think the fabric also has SPF

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 23/07/2006 15:13

fabric with spf? you can't get sun burn through fabric.
