Am off on a UK beach holiday for a week and am wondering are sunsuits essential for the girls or will clothes and suncream do - they won't be swimming in the sea but maybe paddling.

What about ppo-up sun tent things for shade or do they get terribly hot?

you mean sun protection suits right?

well if you're going paddling how are you going to be sure they don't splash, bump down, fall over

sunsuits can basically get wet and dry quickly which is a key benefit

(we're taking a pop-up tent with us .. but only cos we bought one and its fun ... we're not taking a sun tent but a quechua from decathlon)

Twiglet that is what I mean. Are they too hot? Will the girlies get cooked instead of sunburnt?

I dunno .. first time use will be this summer

not much use am I

I like sunsuits cos sand doesn't get in creases and they get wet and dry so I would say YES to sunsuits

Well I shall buy some too and then we (or rather the children) can be virgin sun protectiun suit wearers together and next summer we can dispense our words of wisdom together!

I'd say yes to the suits I don't think they get too hot.
As for the uv tents, ours is like an oven

DSs have worn theirs in Antigua and not got too hot or burnt. Fab things IMO.
