There seems to be so many of them!!

Would the one with the writing system thingy be suitable (I have been looking on Woolworhs website btw).

And which books to go with it are best? And do I need to buy the bag?!

Thanks.

TBH...none of them, waste of money.

We were given a brand new one a few years ago and it's never ever played with.

ust use a pen and paper for the writing one or proper story books IMO.

I was thinking for when we are travelling. DD seems to like interactive things like that, and I am fed up of having 'accidential' drawings on the roof of my car!

DD really likes her Leappad. She has the original one, without the writing. We take it away with us when visiting family and friends. She loves books, and this is just something extra for hr t use along these lines. She also has real books, and pens and paper too. She just likes this as well - it is nice and interactive with some nice little games

It is a little heavy for them to have on their knee for any length of time we find though.

Hulababy, has your DD got one like this:

or is it more like this, but without the writing option?

DS has one for Chrismas (already I can hear you saying). It's the one with writing and I got it half price in ELC - £20 instead of £40 so bought it as will never see it that price ever again.

It came with a couple of books but we'll have to add a couple more - they are expensive though - £12 each so will probably be asking aunties to get one (and nothing else)!

The shop assistant told me that the "with writing" one takes all the books except the "Little Touch" baby one.

Have to say that the "Little Touch" one was a waste of money. Aimed at 6-36months my DS never graduated beyond turning it on and off - which he thought was a marvellous activity. I could have (and should have) saved myself £36!

The second option, shown here

She got it Christmas before last (I think!), a few months before she turned 3. Was a present. Didn't think she'd get enough use out of the My First one.
