stairgate for narrow opening...anyone know where I can get one?

need a stairgate to stop DS from escaping his room in middle of the night. Problem is it's a really narrow doorway (66cm) and I can't find a gate to fit - they are all wider than this.

I've got an extendable one sitting in my roof space, it cannot be permanently fixed but it very good for what you descibe, kept my son in his room!
Its fabric and made by tomy
Let me know and I can email you a pic of you think ti will be suitable!!

I had a look at that one twiglett but when I looked at manufacturers site it says that it's only suitable up to 24 months (DS is 2.4).

Can't understand why actually.

well that's what I wondered Galaxy but at the end of the day it wouldn't be at the top of the stairs (we have one there anyway) so no danger if he did somehow figure it out.

We're still using the one twiglett & galaxy recommended, exactly for "stay in your bedroom" night reminder, and ds is 5 in April. He has just started trying to work out how to open it, but when he does manage it (not often) it makes the most dreadful scraping noise - deliberate, it's meant to be a sort of alarm - when winding back. So you'd always get a warning.

As for climbing over, he's big for his age and still can't.

We have opposite problem to yours - spaces far too wide for a normal one (we need the gate across a diagonal so they can get to the loo in the night) - and for odd narrow/wide places it is brilliant.

I am not the best link poster so instead do have a look at this on ebay, item number 2381698458 adjustable width 64 cm to 106 cm costs £22

We got ours from the great little trading co - on line, it rolls across liek a roller blind, so is great when not in use as there is nothing to trip over at the bottom. It was easy to fit and is too difficult for little fingers to open.
Hope this helps

we got our roller blind one from Perfectly Happy People (php.co.uk?) It is brill but it was £50
