It's a terrible product. I had one for a about a week before returning it to the shop to get a refund. It was slow and soon started cutting out before it had heated the milk. A friend recommended microwaving milk instead and I have been doing this for the last year. You just need to be careful to swish the milk around to avoid hot spots and check the temperature on your wrist.

All those things are a waste of cash IMO.

Microwave for everything! Hot spots my a**e! As long as you shake it thoroughly and don't overheat then it's fine, if you do overheat just run under a tap for a while.

One of the midwives in the hospital was Australian and she said there were no such warnings over there, everyone microwaves (so correct me aussie mums if that's no longer true)

I was told under no circumstances to warm a newborns bottle in the mircrowave and the milk carries on getting warm as you've taken out the microwave.

I used a jug of hot water in the day time - and we had a bottle warmer for night and this worked well for us.

I love the idea of the lindam one - and would buy it myself - i think you'll probly work out what is best for you.

Yes FD but for about 1 minute, and if you shake it thoroughly then leave for a minute there is no risk.

Honestly, those warmer things take forever!

Have started a thread to find out what everyone did/does!

I found it really useful in the bedroom at night for it would keep two bottles cool without having to go down to the kitchen to the fridge. It did take a while to warm up though, about 6-8 minutes which is a long time if the baby's crying but I preferred that to having to go downstairs on cold winter mornings.
I certainly used the microwave during the day and never had any problems.
I hope I am thinking of the right product - DS2 is 3 now!
