My mum said to me (I am a 50 year old man) that mumsnet mums all drive new cars. I said that was rubbish. But you only have What Car reviews...so maybe she is right...??

mawbroon · 01/11/2013 11:52

Um, no. 03 reg here, so 10 years old!

AKAK81 · 01/11/2013 17:40

No and I wouldn't trust a What Car review as far as I could throw it.

MrsCakesPremonition · 01/11/2013 17:43

The last two cars I've had were brand new when I bought them, but as the last time I bought a car was 8 years ago - I don't think anyone would say I drive a new car.

DorothyGherkins · 01/11/2013 17:43

W reg, which is year 2000 amd not likely to be replaced in near future

JazzAnnNonMouse · 01/11/2013 17:44

No - 2004

mamapants · 01/11/2013 17:57

I don't mine is 2001. Cars aren't a priority to me.
Its not costing me lots of money in repairs so its fine.

17leftfeet · 01/11/2013 17:59

58 plate here

MotherOfDragon · 01/11/2013 18:00

I do- a new mini

BackforGood · 01/11/2013 18:01

Our newer car (out of the 2) is an 07 plate.
the older one was built in the last century.

colleysmill · 01/11/2013 18:02

One of my cars is older than you OP Wink so your mother is quite incorrect.

However I don't think anyone would particularly be interested in a review of car that the last model rolled off the production line in the late 60s

bzoo · 01/11/2013 18:05

63 plate hybrid toyota

PublicEnemyNumeroUno · 01/11/2013 18:08

Mines an X reg so about 13 years old?

jaik · 02/11/2013 01:32

04, 52, L and F plated cars. .

CruelAndUnusualParenting · 03/11/2013 20:30

W and 53 plates here.

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 03/11/2013 21:13

09 and 60 here. Only just bought the 60 but got the 09 new on a good deal.

lljkk · 16/11/2013 09:50

Bought one at 18 months old, closest to new I'll ever get.
My 70yo dad has a really prestigious, well-paid job & career & has only ever bought 2 new cars. He likes Mercedes & BMWs but can't afford them new, either.

KatieScarlett2833 · 16/11/2013 09:56

My car was new when I bought it 9 years ago.
I will drive it till it dies. If I were to change my car I would only buy the same one so what's the point?

ArgyMargy · 16/11/2013 10:04

Yes, new company cars for last 15 years. Changed every 3-4 years.

ConfusedDotty · 16/11/2013 10:10

Bit of both. We have an 52 Toyota and a 63 Volvo. Prefer the older one tbh.

mamicar · 16/11/2013 10:23

51 plate car. we did have a 04 plate but it was shit to be fair. older cars where built to last Grin

Handbagsonnhold · 16/11/2013 10:25
