Blackout blinds - Do they *really* work ?

ie. 4 / 5 / 6 AM waking baby suddenly started waking up later (6 or 7 would be nice LOL) after you installed them; or alternatively a 6 / 7 AM waking baby suddenly started waking up horribly early when you took them away...

TIA.

This week is 'hub sorts out the sun' week, LOL.

Oh, I thought everyone did that? Our kids always have bottles of water in their beds. I can't sleep (particularly in this heat) without a nearby bottle of water, so I wouldn't expect them to!

Yes - cup of water to mess around with and we bought some black out material and nailed it all around the window. Looks a total state but does the trick - ds2 hasn't seen the sunlight for just over 2 years in his room..!

DD1 has a sippy cup next to her bed. In warmer weather, she regularly drains it and calls out for more in the night.

She has both blackout blinds AND blackout curtains in her room. That keeps the light out and she wakes around 7.30 most days, w/a few 6.30AM starts to keep us on our toes.

Oh dear... have we been a bit thick ?

OK. She will get a full cup tonight to cuddle up to !

Mine's sleeping like a log now thanks to these blinds, and a little help from this site, love it!
