Help on choosing a bed for dd's room.

Can anyone give me some advice on choosing a child's bed?

I'm trying to decide between this: www.tesco.com/direct/kids-sleep-station-white/210-3293.prd?skuId=210-3293&fromRV=true
and this: www.aspace.co.uk/beds/cabin_beds/canford_storage_bed_with_storage_space-3932_silk_white.htm#product-essentials

Firstly, which do you prefer on first sight for a little girls' room?

My little girl likes the idea of one she can climb into, I'm more concerned about one that will a. last her a long time and b. have storage space.

I think bed number 2 is less risky in terms of longevity and appearance, and my first choice but my girl prefers the midsleeper and it is cheaper and has a lot of storage.

If you have experience of mid-sleepers, what do you think of it? Do they make the room look a lot smaller? Do they grow out of them or can they be adapted to suit the needs of a young teen? Are steps a good / bad idea?

have made the links clicky

DD (nearly 10) has a mid sleeper along the same idea as your first link. They can be a pain when changing bedding and they are trickier to get out of in the dark (when having a nosebleed in dd's case!). I wouldnt pay nearly £600 for a bed either especially as you dont get the mattress with it.
