Where can I buy it..? I have looked online but the only place I can find is "easy blinds". I am having problems trying to order from them as their website doesn't show the secure payment symbol so I am reluctant to put my details through incase anyone can access the details iykwim. I have tried to contact them but no reply as of yet.

Anyone know where I can get the blackout fabric with velcro either in the shops or online..???

Could you attach some velcro yourself? I'm sure John Lewis would have both items if you could manage to put them together.

Not sure what you're looking for exactly, so hope I'm not way off!

you can get sticky backed velcro so if your not handy with a sewing machine it could still work - blackout lining does not frey

Never thought of john lewis. Thanks gillian76. BTW I need to blackout dd's window as her waking up times are getting earlier and earlier. I don't want to get a blind fitted as we only did this about 18 months ago and it's a shame and a waste to get rid of the blind she currently ha in her room. We wanted to get this fabric as it's supplied with the velcro to attach to the fabric and window so can be removed anytime etc.

I think a few mner's have also used this design...

Off to tc tomorrow so will check out jl. Thanks

Sticky velcro doesn't stick very well to black out fabric.

I think I may have confussed people..sorry..I don't necessarily want the fabric with the velcro attached as I am ok to do it myself and think I will need to do this in most cases. What I need to know is where I can buy the fabric that you use the velcro with iykwim.

I want blackout fabric instead of a blind...any clearer..??

I thought https meant it was secure?

shhhh · 27/06/2006 15:33

it usually does BUT when you got to the section to enter your credit card details the symbol for the secure payment is not shown. The site also actually ask's if the symbol isn't showing to click on the link below, when you do this the secure sign stil doesn't show.

DH looked at it last night (he's an IT consultant) and has tried to see if it's an error at our end but he's able to get an error message advising there is a problem and it's being worked on. He's advised me to contact them and not to do it online.

when you put something in the shopping cart and go to order the secure padlock sign does appear in bottom right corner of your PC (I just tried). So you should be OK.

Gillian76 · 27/06/2006 15:34

Oh well...

Sounds like a good idea though. Especially if there's no gaps!

shhhh · 27/06/2006 15:38

suejonez, thats the problem I am having.!! It doesn't appear on mine..!!! I have also got several error message from the website..

Although https is shown this isn't always 100% genuine as the site may have been hacked into and the company sound like a small company so may not have been aware. Someone could be redirecting the site to tehm to access payment details..

Oh well looks like noone has any suggestions so will just have to wait for them to call me back....

btw just speculating about this site...just a bit cautious about payments over the web etc these days.

they use a payment merchant (Protx credit card clearing) so you could check them if you want reassurance. Otherwise as you suggest speak to them.
