E3 KIWI EXPLORER vs EASYLIFE SPORT vs MOUUNTAIN BUGGY - SOMEONE HELP ME CHOOSE!

My son is 2.5 years old and I want a suitable buggy for walking the dog etc, that will last til he's about 5 if poss.

Which is lightest / best out of these - has anyone pushed them all?

Buster I haven't used the easylife sport - is that the ABC buggy? I have a MB urban buggy. As far as I know, the MB is the lightest of all of those 3. All are pretty good though - robust, with swivel wheels so that they are versatile as well. The E3 is more upright than the MB, which might make it less suitable for jogging, but probably fine for walking. The MB is meant to go up to some ridiculous weight limit like 45kgs, and has managed carrying 3 heavy packs fine - so it would definitely last until 5yrs old. Other than that, it depends - does the E3 convertibility appeal? Are you intending to have another child at some stage. It is also much more compact to fold up than the Mountain Buggy. But I feel that this does mean it has a bit more "give" in the frame because of where the join is, if you know what I mean, which is less good for pushing over the rough stuff.

Are you in NZ as these are all NZ-made buggies? In which case servicing doesn't matter (MB is slightly more well known in the UK). I suggest you give each one a good push and see which one feels best!

I've only pushed the Easylife sport so I have absolutely no idea about the others. I bought it second hand a few months ago when DS was born and it's been great, goes everywhere I need it to, very robust. I stuck DD (she's 5 but not very heavy) in it when we got it as she wanted a go and managed to get her and it up and down steps etc when I was pregnant. Only complaint is that it takes up a lot of space in the boot of the car.

I'd miss the swivel wheel, we've used the MB and have E3 as out chosen pram.
Can't fault it, fabulous pram
MB VERY good too but really like the swivel wheel option or my wrists get killed!

thank you all for your comments - I need to print thsi off and show hubby now as he is paying!

Kittypickle: My son is 2.5, but I have a 5 year old who would sometimes like a ride [also light!]..... we won't have any more kids. Was the easylife really heavy? Does yours have the swivel wheel?

There are some second hand of these two on ebay ......... I'm going shopping!
