Machine Washable Boys (school) Suits - do they exist?

DS starts secondary in Sept & requires a grey suit. We seem to have 2 choices:

  1. John Lewis, nice, expensive & even trousers (at up to £40) are dry clean only! or
  2. JAcksons - school outfitters where Jackets are dry clean & matching trousers (still £30+) are washable.

Now, DH has some NEXT suits which are all washable. Has anyone found any boys washable suits??

TIA

Have you tried M&S? Not sure if they do or not but worth a look

Looked in their school section but no suit jackets etc. The mens stuff might be ok when he is a huge sixth former though

M&S only seem to do navy and black blazers - in act I;m having trouble finding anywhere that does grey blazers / jacket at all.
How tall is he? I guess at 11 he's too small for an adult suit, but Next to Nothing etc are worth checking out. Where do the other kids get theirs from?

And if the worst comes to the worst, washable trousers are better than nothing, and if you're lucky the M&S standard grey trousers will match the regulation jacket.

Thanks, he will be 11 in AUgust & a 29" jacket is huge on him!

Needs a plain grey suit, & all parents get them from the 2 shops I mentioned before. There is a second hand shop at the school but it is full of huge suits. The small ones will come in after term starts when all the present yr 7&8's have bought their new ones! (Will get him any spare stuff from there though).

It is very difficult to match the trousers to the jackets - but believe me I will try. Think will have to get from Jacksons, but it is daft having to dry clean ANY school uniforms - it's not exactly Eton
