Buggyboard with Maclaren Volo?

I have a Maclaren Techno but am thinking of getting the very lightweight Volo as DD is almost 2 now.

Does anyone know if a buggyboard could be attached to the Volo? This is a temporary measure while we go on hols for DS who's 5.

I'm sure you could. The new ones fit almost any pushchair.
Wouldn't want to push a 5yo on a buggyboard tho!

No - don't fancy doing it for too long either but it's to keep the whinging at bay!

I've got one that fits my quest and techno xp so imagine it would, they're very adjustable. Have to admit I think it would be near impossible to push a 5 year old, I really struggle with a 2 year old!

I got one for a volo but must confess I don't use it as much as I thought I would. DD prefers to walk and point to note is that you cannot leave it hooked up out the way and then take a child out the buggy as it falls backwards

I used to hook mine up OK actually (not from a volo tho).
Last time I pushed DS1 he was almost 4 and I nearly died! Mind you I was carrying ds2 in the sling (and dd was in the buggy!) I told ds1 he could walk after that Smile

Thanks for this - forgot I had posted this thread and didn't check back!

Think I will just get the volo, pass on the buggy board and live with the whinging (and bribe with promises of ice cream!)

With my volo when the whiging really gets bad I get ds to stand inside the basket with his feet on the metal cross bars at the botom, he then leans his back against the carry strap across the handles.

This means he is quite comfy and teh weight is right over teh wheels so is easier to push (also you are not bent over him) also because he is "officially" not allowed to do this he dosn't ask very often and I can say no more easily (or just until the next ....). The pushchair has survived well so far - we have had it two years and it still looks good, no obvious damage at all!

I used to do this too Securmummy but doesn't work if I've got the rainhood on. And since it rains here a lot, it's always on

SecurMummy · 21/06/2006 16:28

Lol - I didn't know you could get a raincover for it!
